  40. Show is a picture viewer for CyberGraphics systems.
  41. It can decode the next picture formats:
  42. - JPEG,PNG,GIF,TARGA,BMP,PPM,TIFF
  43. and can save in
  44. - JPEG,PNG,TIFF and RAW
  45. It open on a CyberGraphics screen (16/24bits) only.

  90.     When present, Show will read the list file given instead of reading images directly.
  91.     The list file is made of lines of text, each of which is a file name.

  103. JPGQUAL=JQ/K/N:
  104.     JPEG save quality (default=80).

  106. JPGGRAY=JG/S:
  107.     Load JPEG in grayscale.

  109. JPGSIZE=JS/K/N:
  110.     JPEG picture sizing when loading (0=auto, 1=full, 2=1/2, 4=1/4, 8=1/8; default=1).

  112. SLIDE=SL/S:
  113.     Mode slideshow.
  114.     Each image is displayed n seconds before the next is loaded.
  115.     You can break this by hitting the ESCAPE key or by a menu item.
  116.     When an image is changed, the slide is paused. To resume it, save the
  117.     image or go to another image.

  119. SECONDS=SC/K/N:
  120.     You can decide how much time each image is displayed in slideshow mode.
  121.     Changing the delay is possible (menu item).

  123. ZOMBIE/S:
  124.     Special mode; the program stay in memory and do nothing until it receive a command.
  125.     Two commands possible:
  126.     a) QUIT: quit the program ;)
  127.     b) LOAD: load a file and display it.
  128.     The executable ShowZombie is there to send a command to Show.
  129.     NOTE: the filename must be an absolute path here!

  131. These options take precedence over the preferences saved.
  132. You can also invoque Show simply by
  133.     Show
  134. and a filerequester will appear for you to choose your files.

  136. Invocation from Workbench:
  137. ==========================
  138.     The tooltypes are the same than when starting from a shell except there are no
  139.     'LIST' or 'PATTERN'.
  140.     You can use the shortcuts.

  142. Usage:
  143. ======
  144. Not much to say, apart for the Compose menu:
  145. Compose allow you to...compose several images in a big one.
  146. To achieve that, you have to 'memorize' the images first.
  147. So say you want to compose image1.jpg, image2.jpg, image3.jpg and image4.jpg:
  148.     - a) load the images (!)
  149.     - b) while each image is displayed, memorize it (menu 'Image/Memory/Memorize Image')
  150.     - c) compose (menu 'Image/Memory/Compose Memorized Images')
  151. Here you can choose the layout and the space between images.
  152. Press 'OK' to save it.
  153. Note: Pressing HELP in the main window help to remember some keyboard shortcuts
  154. while composing or cropping.

  156. XPK:
  157. Files compacted/crypted with XPK are OK.
  158. You can even crypt your images from within the program.

  160. Preferences:
  161. ============
  162. The preferences are saved in ENVARC:Show.prefs ('Save') and ENV:Show.prefs ('Use').
  163. Files Comment are always preserved.
  164.  
  165. You can customize the keyboard as you like.

  169.     ESCAPE:     break the slideshow mode.
  170.     SPACE:      go to next image.
  171.     RETURN:     go to next image.
  172.     HELP:       change preferences.
  173.     CURSORS:    move in the image.

  177. There are 2 versions, one for 68000 and the other for 68040 *AND* a FPU.

  190.    I would like to have datatypes support, but I dont have a
  191.    clue how to gain control over the image datas in this case.

  194. c) Compiled with gcc-2.7.2.1.
  195.    It is slow and (IMHO) buggy, but it's free!
